please help see if this passes?

Question:
1: Should the beam/column continue in the common area on the lower plan?
2: Should I rotate the joist/decking in the covered entry?
3: Do I need a beam when "gray meets yellow"? I read that somewhere in this forum.

I haven't reschedule my exam yet. I failed the vignette section miserably the first time (by using bearing wall).
4: Do I have to pass all section to pass the overall exam? I got a level 2 in the lateral force, so I guess I will need some work there.

On the first floor where grey meets yellow you need a beam (between the common area and the cover entry).
On the upper floor move the column between the doors west to the outside T intersection of shop 2. (Stack it on the column below)
Remove the column between the doors on the lower level.
Joist layout is good.

Don't I need a direct vertical load path for that? Thanks
*you mean the column between shop 1 and 2 or the other one?

I believe you also need a column at the SW corner of the common area at the lower level (to support column directly above).
