contractor can stop work when?

Postby BITINGTHEDUST » Tue Oct 14, 2014 10:58 am

According to A201, contractor can stop work
1. when work has stopped more than 60 Days
2. when work has stopped more than 30 days due to the court order,
3. when work has repeatedly stopped by owner more than 120 Days in the calendear day,

I don't know the difference btwn 1 & 3...
If contractor can stop work when work has stopped 60 days, then what's the point of adding the rule #3 ???

I think I confused "stop work" with "terminate work".

Hope the followings are correct, this time around..

According to A201, contractor can TERMINATE work
1. when work has stopped more than 60 CONSECUTIVE Days
2. when work has stopped more than 30 days due to the court order,
3. when work has repeatedly stopped by owner more than 120 Days in the calendear day,

I think you mean Terminate/Suspend the contract. In that case, I am pretty sure the number of days you're looking for is 30 consecutive days (wish that word was in #2 if it's in #1!), and one of the reasons for terminating the contract is issuanec of a cord order/public authority.

Take a gander at the very first section of article 14 of the A201 8-)

Thank you for the info!
yes, "termination" and "stop" are confusing, and i didn't have enough time to clarify the difference before the test.
