Max.egress travel distance

If the green part is an Egress Court,
then I assume
1) the Max.egress travel distance
is the whole blue,violet,purple,green ?
2) And the Common path of egress travel distance
is the blue+violet parts ?

It's a little difficult to tell what's going on in the picture. The common path of travel is the distance from the furthest point to the point where you have a choice of 2 exits (which i believe would be the blue and yellow part, assuming that you originate at the red dot and that the black section going to the left would lead to another exit). The maximum travel distance is the entire distance, from the furthest point to the protected egress component (meaning blue, yellow, and black in the diagram). There's a good diagram of this in Ching's Building Codes Illustrated.
